Video/Photo Collage: September 28-October 5, 2023
Take short video clips (one to ten seconds each) or photos as you go about your week (or just one day of your week), and create a video or photo collage of the “art” you experienced in your week/day.

This past week, I took my first ever trip to Las Vegas. Vegas had never been high on my list of places to visit, but I went because the band U2 was opening the new Sphere venue there and playing their early ‘90s album Achtung Baby in its entirety to celebrate its 30th (+) anniversary.
As expected, Las Vegas was overwhelming and overstimulating, but I had a good time. I also got to enjoy the nostalgia of an album I grew up with, while experiencing some incredible, groundbreaking visual effects in a state of the art venue.
I’ve always liked the album art for Achtung Baby - a collage of photos by longtime collaborator Anton Corbijn. I hadn’t originally planned for this week’s art assignment to mimic that album art - I started off taking short video clips each day of my trip to combine into something, but ended up getting too distracted to continue - but it ended up feeling like a fitting way to make art out of my week.

Anon Frau R here with a late entry. I apologize for being tardy but it all happened today.
A birthday gift constructed from 1000 pieces of carefully crafted cardboard. I love those pink birds. Glued at home a couple weeks ago, then transported to the store and just picked up today!
Had lunch with a friend and then we went to paint some pieces. Can’t wait to see how they turn out after firing in the kiln. Pick up is next week!
