Yarn art, yes! I have plenty of yarn bits, however it took a while to come up with my subject. Inspired by this bulb we first saw in Eureka Springs.

Added to the trip theme with a sketch of the Eureka rainbow stairs downtown, the working rabbits in a souvenir store, the outstretched arms of Christ of the Ozarks, Eureka in script looked cool, but my project fell short of my vision. I quit the Eureka plan.

One issue was I lacked the proper glue. The puzzle glue didn’t work for me. Tried a small amount of duct tape (like the felt backing idea) and that looked better.
Duct tape for the win.

Next Week’s Assignment:

As you move through the world this week, pay attention to signs, billboards, posters, etc. Try to find some that strike you as funny because their messages can be interpreted in a different way than they intended - either because they use words and phrases that have multiple meanings, or simply because whoever wrote them didn’t have a great grasp on spelling or grammar. Submit at least one example, preferably 3-5. Explain your interpretation unless you think it’s obvious.

Due August 24 by 7:00 p.m.
