The Divine Is in the Details: June 2-9, 2022

The Mission:

The devil divine is in the details:
This week, stop at a place that you pass daily/regularly, and take a photo - not too close up and not too far away. Bring that photo up on your computer and look at it for 3 minutes. Return to the location and take a few “detail” photos of the things that stood out to you or you noticed in particular when you were looking at the original photo. Submit the original and the detail photos. Bonus points if you include a description or other information about what you noticed and how it made you feel/think.
(Hat tip to artist Assaf Evron, whose idea I mostly stole for this mission.)

The Submissions:

This pile of once-building materials, now junk, is across the alley from our back yard. I walk past it every day on my way to work. It’s been there for ten months despite repeated calls from many neighbors to Habitat for Humanity. It’s maddening. Oh sure, love on Habitat for Humanity and everything, but— I did enjoy exploring this pile with these photos. Now it’s back to being maddening.
