One Year: March 2-9, 2023

In honor of Artpocalypse Thursdays reaching the one year mark, make art that represents one year. It can specifically represent YOUR past year from March 2022 to March 2023, or it can just be art that represents a calendar year in general somehow. Medium, style, etc. are all your choice.

The Submissions:

“I Am Fortune’s Fool” - by Journal Kurtz

“A Year in Yarn” - by Anonymous Frau Redux"

Medium- washable wool fiber
Method- helical knitting of a mariners cap (The cap is a stretchy pattern I’m really into right now which is perfect for anyone. Changed it up by adding fiber colors without cutting/carrying yarn between rows or allowing a “jog” of abrupt color change in a row. One should see spirals when looking from the crown of the cap.)
Color choices represent the seasons. Like the year of Artpocalypse Thursdays it started in grey winter, transitioned to green for spring, added blue for summer water frolicking and finished in fall leaf rust. A knotty hat for all seasons and reasons.
Cheers!

Running late might by the theme for my last year… With a dash of chaos thrown in, for good measure.
