Jigsaw Puzzle: January 25-February 1, 2024

Make a jigsaw-style puzzle (without a jigsaw, unless you have one) for someone to put together. Bonus points if you give/send it to someone else and they complete the puzzle.

We rediscovered puzzling thanks to “the vid” a few years ago. The Ravensburger puzzles have nice thick pieces that are cut well and little to no glare on the puzzle surface. We sort to edge pieces, traditional pieces (with 2 end nubs and 2 side indents ), running man (head with 2 side indents and 4 limbs), tri nubs, 2x2 (2 nubs, 2 indents), and throwing stars (4 nubs or 4 feet) to work the puzzle while listening to music.

This puzzling art challenge simmered for a few days until inspiration (ha ha) struck with an empty tissue box. Handy artwork sliced into 21 pieces.

Have a great weekend, we’ll be puzzling!

Next Week’s Assignment:

Poetry Scavenger Hunt: Throughout the week, take pictures of (or write down) words, phrases, or sentences you see or hear around you (on signs, in your mail, on a box you find at work, etc.). No cheating - these should be bits you actually encounter, not made up later to make the assignment easier! Using these random scraps of language, create an original poem.

Due February 8 by 7:00 p.m.
